of zero to ten in these four categories: Atmosphere,
Decor, Service, and Bathroom, using the guidelines
below:

Guidelines for bar ratings...
Atmosphere:
(Atmosphere describes the crowd and the ambiance of the place).
- 0-3: This place has little going for it. You won't go here, or won't go back again.
- 4-6: So-so. You can have fun here if you bring your own crowd.
- 7-8: You would recommend this place to your friends.
- 9-10: This place is fun! You will keep coming back here again and again.
Decor: (Rating of the decor, including the
bar, the furniture, the room, the view, etc.)
- 0-3: The words
"dive bar" come to mind when you walk in this
place.
- 4-6: Adequate
facilities but needs improvement in certain areas.
- 7-8: Clean,
comfortable, and tasteful interior.
- 9-10: Impeccably
maintained, contains some unique aspect which will draw
you back.
Service:
(Rating of the
bartenders, wait personnel, door men, bouncers, and any other bar
staff)
- 0-3: "What does
it take to get a drink in this place?"
- 4-6: Nothing special.
Service is obviously not the reason this place is still in business.
- 7-8: Friendly,
efficient and attentive bar staff.
- 9-10: The staff at
this establishment are among the most professional and knowledgeable in New York.
Bathroom:
(A bathroom tells a lot about what an establishment thinks about its customers. Things to consider
include cleanliness, size, supplies, etc.)
- 0-3: You would rather
hold it in and burst that go in this place.
- 4-6: You'll go here if
you have to, but would rather not. Needs to be improved.
- 7-8: Clean, well-lit,
and easily accessible.
- 9-10: This place
proves that it values its customers by taking industrious
care of its restroom facilities.
