What exactly is a saloon, anyway? MurphGuide viewer Pat Grant explains: "If you are a New Yorker you know what a Saloon is. It's a beer and a ball kind of joint. It has a juke box, pool table, buybacks, firemen, steel workers, students, bikers, old guys, young guys, young girls, belly rings, crucifixes, tattoos, an occasional yuppie (Damn Yuppies!!! they have to spoil everything), drunks, punks, priests, poets, skinheads, beards, big dawgs, Doc Martins, leather jackets, hunting vests, 9 to five-ers, war heroes, ex-cons, and a TV in the corner in case of World Series or acts of war. You know a Saloon!"
