Belgetoberfest!
So, you feel the economy is wreck and you're nervous about the upcoming
election; Autumn is upon us and you are in a desperate search for comfort and
stability. Think, think really hard-deep down in your liver and kidneys, you
know what time of year it really is...
That's right, tired of the same old Octoberfest celebrations? Had your fill of
German beer? Frustrated by your unrequited for Jurgen Prochnow (aka the patron
Saint of Beerfest)? Well, put those worries aside, slip on down to the southside
and drop in on South 4th for some of the tastiest Belgium beer you've ever had!
Starting at 7pm, and running all night
the following draft beers will be $5 a
glass:
Caracole Saxo - A flavorful hoppy blonde ale
Val-Dieu Triple - A golden Triple with nutty, clean maltiness
Alvinne Extra - A hoppy IPA with a hint of fruitiness
De Glazen Toren Saison D'erpe Mere -
A dry, hoppy and fruity Saison
Petrus Oud Bruin - A dark beer aged in Oak barrels
St. Bernardus Abt 12 - A smooth and creamy Quad
Allagash Triple - Golden hued ale with subtle banana
and honey flavors
and back after a decade hiatus....
Ommegang Abbey - A Dubbel full of flavor,
including caramel, toffee and licorice
Furthermore, just when you think things can't be more Belgy, we are happy to
offer free grilled bratwursts and sausages (while supplies last). So come on by
and help us put the UM in Belgium next week!
