Comments - Awesome atmosphere. Definitely a place you want to go if your single or with a lot of friends. They have a regular bar area, a lounge type area, and an outdoor patio when the weather's nice, so definitely will suit whatever atmosphere you are looking for. Only downfalls are the bartenders who take forever, the drink prices, and the lines that never end for the bathrooms. If you are downtown this is definitely a place you want to check out. - J.J.
Cool
music, great strong drinks, yummy food. Some annoying people in
the crowd. Try the Ginger Cosmopolitan. - T.W.
Go on Thursday. - A.S.G.
Snotty bar with a velvet rope and high prices, but a fabulous
outdoor space. My advice: wait until the summer when the lines
are short and attitudes are at a low. - S.A.
Little known back bar is the place to go...one of the best once
the weather gets warm...great place to see stars and models. -
C.L.
This large, three-room bar draws an upscale twentysomething
clientele. It features cocktail tables inside and outside,
high-top bar tables, a loud sound system, and two bars. The beer
selection is somewhat limited. The prices are somewhat expensive and the service is good. The
bathrooms always seem to have waiting lines. - T.K.

'back to the sixties' spot on the Bleecker Street strip. Great
live music, sawdust on the floor. Clientele of all ages.
Reasonable prices. Good service.

Tight quarters and sometimes hard to get the wait staffs'
attention, but you could easily sit here all night long listening
to good music and eating peanuts. - E.M.
In reference to the preceding comment, actually, every time I've been there, the music was terrible. If you want to hear good music for free in this hood, Groove is infinitely better. And oh yeah, the bartenders at the Back Fence are all but nice. - B.I.

Very crowded sports bar, especially on football Sundays.
Great atmosphere to watch the games, TV's all over the place. The
clientele is a bit diverse. Strange of mix of mafia wannabes,
juiced up bodybuilders, and prep school graduates. Drinks are affordable. Service can be a
little slow at times, but more due to being understaffed.
Bathrooms could be cleaner. - A.S.
A true sports bar that will satisfy both week-end warriors and sports junkies. Staff who are both
efficient and friendly. It's one of he few sports bars that caters to all, so you usually have an interesting crowd. Drinks are cold and plenty of screens. - B.C.

Formerly Fat Phil's and Docksiders, the renovation has
made it unrecognizable. It's the only bar on the strip with an
outside yard (with patio furniture). To appease the neighbors,
the yard closes at 11PM. The outdoor deck also has a grill. Well
lit, this bar features a pool table, a jukebox, peanut barrels, a
low ceiling with fans, surfboards, and miscellaneous
tropical/beach decor. It seems to draw a good, thirtysomething
clientele. They are big on blender drinks. The prices are
reasonable (2 for 1 happy hour Monday thru Friday). The
bartenders (men and women) are friendly and efficient. The
bathrooms leave something to be desired. - T.K.

- A
refreshing live music venue around the corner from the crowded
Bleecker Street strip. Friendly Irish bartenders, clean
candle-lit tables in rear stage area. Low ceiling with good
acoustics, not too loud. Pinball machine. Mens room earned
an extra point for having a shelf over the urinals, to place beer
bottles on top. - S.M.
Great bartender, fun crowd, different live music every night.
Near Bleecker street, physically, but miles away in style and
attitude. - H.Q.
I went for "Murphstock" as I affectionately call it, as MurphGuide put together three
separate musccians, Ray, Don and Tom respectively who performed. Don McCloskey was the best. His stage presence was to be envied by shy little old
me (ex-actress/singer). The concept is great, as it gives struggling musicians a venue and
Murph, who informed me that he wanted this to be an ongoing thing at various bars,
should be applauded for putting it together so well. I wasn't too crazy about the bar. It is currently under construction and the happy hour beers on tap were actually $3 and not a $1.50 as they were advertised. I switched to bottled beer after that and it wasn't much more in price but a lot better in taste. My waitress was very nice as was the bar staff. All in all, as a lover of music I really enjoyed the show.

This Mexican bar/restaurant specializes in tequila
drinks. The decor is Mexican but the piped in music is very
American. The front is open to give the impression of outdoor
drinking. The bar area is very small. The dining room is
separate. The Mexican menu is extensive. It closes early (11PM).
The prices are reasonable.
The bartenders are friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are

A traditional Irish house with excellent food. The local
regulars give the place "atmosphere"; but all are
welcomed. Excellent selection of fine, fresh pints. A wonderful
place to bring a first date for a nice "get to know
you" dinner, or Sunday brunch (crowded, however on Sundays).
Gets a little packed on Fridays and Saturdays when the Irish
music kicks in; and transforms into a very loud and hot place.
Always worth seeing Dermot Henry play there if you get a chance.

Comments - The
owners of Trinity Pub on the upper east side have taken their
winning formula to another establishment, creating a cozy Irish pub with friendly Irish bartenders
that treat you like you are a guest in their own living room. The
Banshee provides a comfortable, laid back
space to watch a game on TV, chat with friends, or meet new ones. Gets a good
late-night crowd in for a nightcap from wherever they were before. -

Banshee Pub is a wonderful Upper East Side pub. They've got live music on Tuesday nights which should not be missed. Weekdays are better because it really gets crowded on Saturdays.

A.K.A 'Bar A', this is the type of place that gives
Belmar its bad reputation. It draws a very trashy, young crowd. A
huge indoor/outdoor place, it has 3 bars inside and 4 bars
outside. There are several food counters with lots of
dining/cocktail tables. There is a sand pit for volleyball. It
features numerous TV, a very high ceiling, a bandstand and dance
floor, free peanuts, and video games. The prices are reasonable
(at least at happy hour) and the service is decent. The clientele
is better early in the evening than late at night. Cabs are easy
to find. The bathroom lines are pretty bad. - T.K.

This is a small bar on the upper east side, that tries to come off as a California
themed bar and draws a late 20's-30's type crowd. There are Hollywood and LA sport team type stuff hanging around. There are numerous specials and a decent selection of drinks. Seven TV's are located around the bar for sports viewing and there is a pool table located in the back. Staff is
friendly. Bathrooms are in pretty good shape. - A.S.
Something
for everyone in here- pool table, darts, jukebox & that
addictive golf game. That's not even mentioning the nice prices
($3.50 Bud/Bud Light), fun martini menu, friendly locals, and
some good looking chicks behind the bar (and occasionally on
it!). The renovations have been good to this place: clean
bathrooms, new kitchen, nice decor. The new owner's enthusiasm definitely shows. - G.R.
Awesome happy hour specials, good beer selection, new bathrooms.
-- The coastal theme in this place makes it a great place to kick
back with friends and get loopy. -S.B.
A lot of young people make
for a juvenile type of evening. However, quite entertaining,
quite. - J.S.B.
Its a good local bar, however they need to work on the tap
selection and get cider. - P.S.
The best thing about this place is that it works well as both a
mellow place to hang with friends, shoot pool and have a few pops
and it can handle the rowdy crowd well too. I've seen this place
packed to the gills w/ hotties on the bar and the tunes cranking,
also during local sporting events, which they show w/ the volume
cranked up. It really depends on the crowd for the evening. Also
not a very young crowd, usually at least 25 or 30 year olds
hanging. They just added a kitchen which is cool. Short menu, but
it's to the point, i.e., wings, burgers etc. The bartenders are
great: really know ther drinks and always have an original
suggestion in mind. The west coast concept is kind of a work in
progress but as the owners add more stuff it's getting better.
Also, I heard something about a tie-in w/ a west coast version???
The bathrooms are awesome as far as upper east side bars go, but
that could be due to the fact that they are recently renovated.
We'll have to see how they hold up. Midweek is definitely
neighborhood friendly, however on weekends anything seems
possible. It's one of the better new additions on the UES in my
opinion. Awesome jukebox too. - J.3.
The menu has been expanded! Home of Atomic Wings - I
think I just gained 5 lbs. - S.B.
What a great place! Everyone there, whether working or drinking (or both) is friendly. The owner is very enthusiastic about the place and takes care of his patrons - and is often the ringleader of wild Saturday nights (girls on the bar - flaming beverages). The bartenders are always friendly and knowledgeable. A great place to go for the UES - N.M.

Comments - When
rating a specific bar, Murph asks that if you rate a bar 10, you
provide at least a paragraph as back up. The thing is, Bar East
deserves far more than a simple paragraph filled with one
individual's comments. Perhaps I am biased because Bar East has
become my first pick of bars. Maybe my word is deemed as swayed
because I absolutely love everyone involved in either running or
working the bar. Sure, you might want to disregard my
"paragraph" altogether because what is a random
comment's weight? anyway my rambling point is that Bar East is
one of the most kick-ass bars in Manhattan and you would be
missing out if you denied yourself the experience. Seriously,
check out Bar East, the bartenders are hot to trot and have more
energy than a pack of 7 year olds sugar shocked from Fun Dip. You
might just get addicted, which isn't so bad! - A.M.D.

of one of the best restrooms in New York. I will not disclose the

Was very impressed by this bar, one of many located in the area. The bar, right next
to the Joshua Tree, had kind of a Euro Club feel to it. It
features two bars, numerous TV's, a DJ, a pseudo running
waterfall towards the back of the bar, and tables for sitting or
eating. The staff, almost all dressed in black, has very
attractive females. Bathrooms are large and clean. Only drawback
is it's kind of pricey. - A.S.
Superb twenty-somethings atmosphere and excellent bar staff make this a great bar to hang out. Music can occasionally get a little too loud, but it's never really a problem. - B.C.
Formerly Tivoli, It seems to be more club than pub. There are two bars, several TVs, and numerous dining/cocktail tables. The attractive young female bartender seemed a bit inexperienced. The prices are a little high. The waterfall is a nice touch. The bathrooms, located in the basement are more than adequate. -

Average bar that gets a mixture of locals, after work drinkers,
tourists coming in from Broadway, and folks waiting for the

This is a small bar located a few doors down from the Ed Sullivan

Comments - This is
a fun bar to visit with friends. The music is great. The
bartenders are hot and they do great tricks behind the bar. The
bouncers are huge so everyone feels safe and has a good time.
Prices are reasonable. You can get a good buzz for less than $20.
Bud and Coors Bottles are only $4 and draft Buds and well drinks
are only a buck between 11 and 12 every night. Check it out. you
won't be sorry. - I.W.
Bar None is a great f-in' bar. If you are the type of
person who enjoys paying $8 for a beer, getting overly dressed to
impress, and feels the need to try and be someone they're not for
a night by trying to impress people who you don't know, then go
to Spy bar or something. This is a fun, safe, no frills bar where
everyone has a blast, and there are no attitudes. It's one of the
few bars left where you can have fun being yourself. - D.M.
The place is great if you are an NYU
student. If you are a 22 year old working girl like myself and
want a mature crowd...word to the wise: Don't waste your time. -
N.M.
This bar without question has the hottest bartenders I have ever
seen. Every night they give $1 mixed drinks and draft beers
between 11pm and midnight. Music on weekends is from a DJ and
during the week from the jukebox. There is a dart team, pool
table, 10 TVs, satellite sports, golf game, dancing, cheap
drinks, friendly staff and hot bartenders... what more could you
ask for? - J.B.
This place is definitely for the teeny bopper age group. The music that was played reminded me of
those eighth grade dances that we all used to go to. And don't be
fooled by the $1 drafts, those are in fact extremely small
plastic cups, which are what I would call shots instead of cups
of beer for that matter. - G.H.
I have been going to this place for years. It is one of most fun and coolest places in Manhattan for years. They always
have specials, great music and really cute bartenders who don't
mind doing a shot with you. There are no attitudes there. Some
nights I think everyone who works there is drunk, but that's why I
love it. - M.D.
This lively, old bar seems to attract a young college clientele.
It features several TVs, a jukebox, video games, a pool table, a
low ceiling with fans, cocktail/dining tables, a DJ in a back
lounge room, velvet curtains, and picture windows. It makes good
use of a limited amount of space. Watch for happy hour specials.
The bartenders are friendly and efficient. The bathrooms are
adequate. - T.K.
Okay being that I am 25...I was afraid that if I talked to anyone
in there I would be committing a felony. The service is terrible and it is hard to
use the bathroom when Tiffany is holding Angie's hair back
because she is puking from her one plastic cup of rum and coke. -
K.L.
Bar None is a fun and safe bar. They have the hottest friendliest
bartenders in the city, and the average age of the crowd is
21-30. They have the strictest ID checking and anti-drug use policy around, turning away hundreds
of people a night with fake ids. There's no pretentiousness here,
just good fun, great music, reasonably priced drinks and a cool
crowd. That's why they were Playboy Magazine's Bar of the Month for
August. - B.N.F.
This place is a dive if ever there were one. They don't even have a front
window! The crowd is awful considering it's on NYU
turf. Hell, they even try to push admission fees on the weekends. The bartender's aren't bad, and the beers
are cheap, but when it's all said and done, Bar None is "Strictly Garbage". -
M.L.
Not a bad little bar. The drinks were reasonably priced and the crowd was cool. However, when I got pissed on by one of the bouncers, I knew that was my cue to leave. Overall,
I enjoyed the music and danced the night away with the finest NYC ladies. - D.K.
Bar None is the place to be. I was there and hooked up with 13 girls in one night!
The only bad thing was when I hooked up with a girl who had a meathead of a boyfriend who proceeded emotionally/physically break me down. -
M.F.
Has a bouncer who can be likened to Grimace. Was actually asked to leave because I had a hat on with a
sport coat, due to the fact that the girl the DJ was in love with was talking to me. Waste of time bar with nothing to offer. Even the Golden Tee is broken. -
G.F.
I was in NYC with my girlfriend at the time and stopped here on a late Wednesday afternoon. There were only a few people there, and the bartender was playing his own music, which was good stuff. He got us buybacks after only two drinks each. I'm not sure about the weekends, but this place is great for after-work drinks or to just hang out on a day off for a few hours. -
L.T.D.
Good after work bar if you're 19-22. Anything older than that and it's a waste of your time. Drinks are adequately priced and the bathrooms are always out of toilet
paper. I have had some good nights there but probably won't be back until my little sister is ready to use her fake I.D. - B.W.

- I am
unable to account for why or how this place has managed to stay
open. It used to be owned by an aging polish couple, but was
recently taken over by a couple of twentysomethings. Though the
bar is located deep in the recesses of Chinatown, it somehow
manages to attract a young and vibrant crowd. Though Bar 169
features attractive bartenders of both sexes, the real attraction
here is the jukebox, which spins out 80's 45's at a quarter a
pop. Be sure to play Van Halen's "Jump," and "No
Fume Ese Crack" by the Bad Street Boys. - M.B.
Revised comments by M.B.:
I've already written a review for Bar 169 in which I point out
that it's a total non-sequitur. It's located on the outskirts of
Chinatown, borders a Hasidic Jewish neighborhood, but fills up
(after midnight, on the weekends) with young and attractive
college/professional folk.
That having been said, let me say that nothing could have
prepared me for what I saw when I walked in there this previous
weekend. There was a Hardcore band playing in one corner, while
the other half of the bar listened to the Bangles on the Jukebox
and danced. At the end of the evening, a group called Darling
Demoniac got up and played. They were basically a bunch of
death-metal performance artists...the beautiful female lead
singer wore fangs and threatened the audience with a large knife.
She also spat water on herself and several other members of the
audience.
Whether this kind of stuff is your cup of tea or not ( it really
isn't mine, to tell you the truth), you have to appreciate the
environment in which it is happening. This place is located in
Chinatown!!! I don't know more than three places in Chinatown,
and none of them would ever have attractions like this.
If you haven't gone to this place yet, let me encourage you to do
so. Try to drop in on a Saturday sometime around or after
midnight, and just see what happens. After that, if you like what
you see, make it bar of the week! At any rate, I intend to update
my review sometime soon, if that's all right with you. I
absolutely love this place.- M.B.
This is basically a former
dive bar on the edge of the Lower East Side/ Chinatown which has
been converted into a most unusual space. It has reasonably
priced drinks and a minimum of attitude, but the real reason to
go is the eclectic nature of the entertainment. You never
know if you will step into a rolling techno groove or hardcore rock & roll night. Not quite worth
traveling a long
distance as an exclusive destination, but worth checking out if
you are in the area on a weekend night. - J.S.L.

- At a
first glance, this place seems like nothing more than a clone of
the other ambiguously "English" joints in the West
Village. As I paced back and forth from the bar to my table at
10:00 on New Years Eve, I remember cursing my entourage under my
breath. They wanted to be here when the ball dropped. I wanted to
be at Coyote Ugly. But then, just as I was about to suggest a
trek eastward, I discovered it, sitting inconspicuously in the
corner: A Space Invaders machine! I managed to clear six levels
before midnight. - M.B.

like $2 pints from 12 - 7 and Monday night pitchers of Bud/Bud
light for $5. - S.A.
English Pub. Very Cheap happy hour prices.
Bartenders play old music. Decent pub food. The ground floor is
interestingly decorated. It also uses space efficiently. The
musty-smelling basement 'lounge' is another story. There's a pool
table and chairs there. The bathrooms are also downstairs (avoid
them if possible). - T.K.
Great sports bar, good prices. The service was great. Bathrooms
need lots of work. - S.V.

quiet, well-lit extremely small and narrow bar draws a classy
clientele. Since it is a wine bar, the beer selection is limited.
It features a low ceiling and soft music piped in, and has no TV.
The prices are expensive.
The service is decent. The bartender must buzz you into the very
small bathroom (it looks like an airplane bathroom). - T.K.

Comments - So this bar has only been open for
[a few] months...and it looks like it.
Not much people in there but I really liked the decor. Very chill atmosphere and
I really enjoyed the live music, trance house type stuff. The drinks were a little on the steep side, but the sofas were comfortable and the hostess
very friendly and welcoming.
Plus for that. - J.M.
This is the typical trendy lounge where the bouncers and everyone inside thinks they are too cool for school. I have been here a two times for birthday parties, and they make you wait in line even if you are on a list and then you get in there and it is empty.
Yu have to pay a cover to get in, and the drinks are expensive. There is no reason to go to this place. The place is horrible.

Comments - This place is a lot of fun. Seems to be a good mix of people. The great looking staff serves you quickly and they have a good music mix (read; not too much of any one type of music). The outdoor patio is key when it gets hot in the summer. Plenty of parking and they are on top of the restrooms. My friends and I enjoy going here and it is a must on any Hamptons nightlife tour. - S.S.
My girlfriends and I go here or meet here very often in the summer! It is a great place with a great range of people - not too college - not too clubby - not too young - not too old - and GREAT music!! I have always had a good time there and can't wait 'til summer arrives to go back! - E.S.
Formerly LaPlage, Atlantic City, and the Oliver Twist
Inn, the
location (on a narrow road to the beach) causes serious traffic
snarls. They have a good happy hour with a large outdoor yard. At
night, there are cover charges and the prices are far from cheap.
Getting the bartenders' attention when it's crowded late at night
can be a challenge. The bathrooms are adequate. - T.K.
The "Yard" is
actually a rather large outdoor deck in case you would like a
breather or just to hang with friends. As far as the prices $7
(Fri.) - $10 (Sat.) (cover includes a band on Friday nights)
seems to be the going rate. Lower prices for early birds too. In
addition plenty of free parking, lots of girls, and a good mix of
dance & party music. - S.

East 70s bar/restaurant seems to draw a mixed (all ages)
clientele. It features several TVs, low playing music, brick
walls, a high ceiling, miscellaneous beach pictures on the walls,
and outdoor tables in nice weather. The bar and dining areas are
not separated. This can be uncomfortable. The prices are
reasonable. The bartenders
are friendly and efficient. The bathrooms leave much to be
desired. - T.K.
The restaurant draws neighborhood folks, of
all ages, but mostly in their 20s and 30s. THE BAR though, is for
the Geritol set. The youngest are in their 40's and go all the
way up to 70's! What makes this BAD, BAD, BAD is that these
customers started coming 30 years ago when the joint opened, and
the atmosphere is totally "private club", e.g, God
forbid you (accidentally) sit in the midst of a fivesome that's
been sitting at the same stools every night at five since 1980.
You will be told -- not asked --(by the bartender!) to move.
Ditto with if you order a drink first and one of the geriatric
regulars orders next, for the bunch of them -- prepare to wait.
Basically, unless you are soon to start collecting social
security and you like being treated badly by the staff, check out
any one of the other, great places on Second Avenue and walk
right past this bar. - N.V.

Not your ordinary Sports Bar. This is one of only 2 decent places
to sit down and have a nice meal right across the street from
Madison Garden Square and Penn Station. The food is surprisingly
good and there are even real linens in the table! On the other
side of the pleasantly sports-decorated room (Who knew that the

This
dive bar on the wrong end of Port Authority has gone through at
least half a dozen name changes since the mid-90's. Currently, it
attracts a diverse crowd of area locals, Viacom employees, and
totally random things like the lascivious nurses convention I
once saw there. It also has a cavernous back room where live acts
will sometimes play. This bar is a work in progress which seems
to be improving each year.- J.S.L.
The best bar in Hell's Kitchen - Dark, kitschy/gothic, great
jukebox, fun drinking atmosphere & best of all - no yuppies !
One of the last real HKB decadent bars now that Rudy's is overrun
w/ yuppies. Enjoy it while you can. - F.S.
I used to DJ here every other Saturday...We try to keep the party
real, with no cover, cheap drinks and a sleazy but safe
atmosphere... definitely not for yuppies! I'd hang out here any
time. With punk rock music and dive bars almost completely gone
from the East Village, come here to get your fix! - D.J.C.
This is the most happening bar
in Hell's Kitchen...great crowd, music, atmosphere, and
service!!! I travel all the way from Jersey! All bar bathrooms
need improvement....it's the people who use them that make 'em dirty! Z.H.
Been there twice. I practically lived in Hell's Kitchen a couple
years ago (girlfriend on 48th & 9th), never knew about this
place. Good juke, good joint. Not surprisingly, it's a little
heavy on the sausage factor, but the chicas who did show up
looked pretty good (though, judging by the woman I eventually
left with, it might be a combination of numerous drinks and dark
lighting.) I let myself get mesmerized by the TV's for a bit, one
at each end of the bar. One had Animal House, the other some
festival from the early 80's featuring performances by Judas
Priest, Quiet Riot, Ozzy, the Scorpions, Van Halen (DLR!), etc.
The barmaid, a blonde who either strips/has stripped/wants to
strip, was quite mesmerizing herself. These are all good things.
Cheesy in an old-school metal way, but if you were a loser in
middle/high school you'll have a good time. - S.G.
Best bar! The crowd is awesome, very laid back and the jukebox is
one of the best in the city. The bartenders are mad cool (and
hot). - B.E.
Very cool drinking spot , I make it a must whenever I'm in
midtown. Reminds me of Coney Island High (the upstairs, R.I.P.).
The bartenders are cool/hot & the vibe is sleazy rock n'
roll. Drinks are cheap & the jukebox is amazing!!!
Went there last weekend & they had some old guy doing some
trippy kind of dance (??!!??). Fun. The downside is the
location, not much else in that area so you have to go out of your
way a bit . One of my top 5 in NYC. - J.A.
I recently stumbled into Bellevue on a Friday night. I am blown away by the jukebox. It doesn't seem like a midtown bar. I now go every
Friday I can. - J.S.
I'm a regular at this bar and I can tell you it absolutely rules! If you miss the Scrap Bar or Coney Island High, come here. Host Jimmy Duff makes you feel right at home in this rockin' juke joint. The barmaids are the hottest I've seen in NYC!
- R.A.
OK, Jayne, the bartender on Wed. nights, is the hottest bartender in town. I too thought she must have been a stripper in a past life (like a previous reviewer mentioned) but a short conversation made me
realize she is as sweet as a suburban soccer mom. And the jukebox is hands down the best metal/punk juke in the city. - H.T.

A gritty hole in the wall reminiscent of a college town frat bar complete with the vomit on the
floor. This place is god-awful. The crowd is a motley crew of every type-all of which are either too young or too old to be there. Beware Saturday nights turn into Club Bellview which means that it will be all the more painful for you to stomach being there. The bouncers are always on the make and trying to score (unsuccessfully) and to say that the bartenders are

Cozy lounge just east of Union Square. Even has a little patio in

Comments - How you say, beer pong!
Seven tables now, huge tournaments Monday nights and great Thursdays thru
Saturdays...and no, I don't work there, just a huge fan. A large group of regulars who
can't get enough beer pong, but are all very chill people. Mondays are the nights for the boys to chill back and play some pong and get the occasional chic...and
Thurs-Sat, the place is riddled with barely 21 (if that) hot girls...definitely hit it up, you will be addicted. -
T.J.
Lots of girls, great
music, and a spacious dance floor make for a great time. It is
similar to Bourbon Street in the fact they give out beads and there are
girls dancing on the bar, but I think it is a lot better than
Bourbon. More roomy with a bigger dance floor. This bar has
potential and will become the new hotspot. -J.D.
Great bar! Terrific for a fun night out. I love how there is ample
room to sit at the large bar or at the tables in the middle.
Also, they have a great dance area in the back. The DJ's were
kicking, the staff was very friendly, and the crowd was great.
Also, they have some pretty crazy drink specials. Definitely
worth going to for a fun night out. - P.A.R.
This is a great bar to go to if you're looking to do shots, meet
girls and dance. I think that would about cover it, for me at
least. The place looks a lot nicer than it did when it was the
Quiet Man. The Mardi Gras theme works... this place is a lot of
fun. -M.F.S.
I am glad that in this city with all the new bogus trendy wannabe
lounges that there are still bars like this. Fun crowd, with lots
of drinking and sloppy hot girls dancing on the bar.
Unfortunately there's only a few places like this left. -M.D.
This place has it all! Girls, cheap booze
and, and.....girls and cheap booze. Friday's and Saturday's are
the best times to go. Draft beers and well drinks cost a buck and
what you get is the perfect amount of booze for that buck. The
live DJ is good and the service is quick and very pretty. This spot is the best place
to party when you're low on dough and looking for a great time. -

Went here a couple weeks ago and had a
blast! Cheap drinks and tons of hot guys! Had a great time
dancing on the bar and pouring shots in people's mouths!
Bartender John was definitely trying to get us girls drunk (and
he was very successful) by making the drinks very strong. Great
atmosphere! The bathrooms were decent even though there was no
toilet paper and we had to use paper towels. Will definitely be
going back here! - A.Y.

I went to the Big Easy for my 21st birthday. I emailed them and arranged for a party
package. All of my friends and I had a great time. The bartenders we so friendly and the night was, actually, inexpensive!
We got up on the bar and were handing out beads and shots. The crowd was good, the music could have been a
little better,.. nothing too dancey. But the people at the Big Easy really made sure my 21st birthday was something I will never forget!
O yea, and the bathrooms were surprisingly the cleanest in any NYC bar that I've ever been to. -
